Meet Our Super Sweet, Super Silent ACCESS Star
Part of our Super Silent Auction, the littlest ACCESS Star at this year’s event is an 8-week-old purebred Labrador puppy looking for a loving family to call her own!
When local news anchor Matt Mosler and his wife Camille’s dog Griff went missing in September of last year, the whole community went on a search for their beloved boy. But Griff was gone. Locals Shane and Mandy Ferguson heard the news, and they were heartbroken for the Moslers. They knew they had to help. With a white Labrador of their own (Berklie), they located one of Griff’s brothers from the same litter (Baylor), and decided that a new puppy from Berklie and Baylor’s litter would be a great gift to the Moslers. On December 18th, Berklie and Baylor’s puppies were born – seven of Griff’s nieces and nephews. The Moslers chose a new puppy to love but six puppies remained. So how were we lucky enough to get a member of this meaningful litter?
Shane and Mandy have a 13-year-old son, Cohen, who kicked off his early childhood education with ACCESS. Cohen was born with childhood apraxia of speech, and received early intervention services for three years to help him build the brighter future he has today. As former ACCESS parents, Shane and Mandy wanted to give back to the mission that helped their family so much and they graciously allowed one of their female puppies to become the “Littlest Star” of the 20th Annual Starry Starry Night. Take her home today as the newest addition to your family. Spend countless hours rolling around the grass in the backyard, walking around the neighborhood, or becoming inseparable hunting companions. The Littlest Star is AKC registered and goes home with her own kennel.
