ACCESS COVID-19 Policy
All employees and clients are asked to refrain from coming to any ACCESS campus if they have any symptoms of COVID-19. Any individuals who develop symptoms while on campus will be asked to leave or be promptly picked up from campus.
Below are the current quarantine and isolation guidelines ACCESS is following as we do our best to maintain the health and safety of our employees and clients. We will continue to monitor updates from the CDC and Arkansas Department of Health, as well as consult with our medical advisors, to make the best decisions for those we serve. Any updates made to our COVID-19 policy will be communicated in a timely manner.
DEFINITION OF CLOSE PROXIMITY AND WHAT IS CONSIDERED DIRECT EXPOSURE:
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), close proximity is defined as being within six feet of someone who has been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. Individuals who meet that criteria are those who have done so in the time period of 48 hours prior to either the onset of symptoms for the individual who tested positive OR the time of the positive test of that individual, whichever comes first.
QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION FOR FULLY-VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS:
- If a fully-vaccinated individual has had a known exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, he or she must receive a COVID-19 test on day 3 after exposure (or as soon as they are notified of exposure if after day 3) in order to remain on campus. If the individual chooses to be tested, the individual may continue to work or receive in-person services as long as he or she continues to wear a mask, regardless of whether results from the test have been received yet and as long as the individual remains symptom-free.
- If a fully-vaccinated individual’s test results come back positive for COVID-19, that individual must isolate at home immediately for the recommended isolation period. That individual may return to work or in-person services on day 11 after the start of symptoms or 11 days after the positive test result if asymptomatic, fever-free without medication for at least 48 hours, and other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving.
- If a fully-vaccinated individual chooses NOT to be tested on day 3 after exposure (or as soon as they are notified of exposure if after day 3), that individual must quarantine at home per the guidelines of an individual who has not been vaccinated. Therefore, that individual would be able to return to work or receive in-person services on day 11 after exposure as long as he or she has remained symptom-free for the entire quarantine period.
QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION FOR NON-VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS:
- All non-vaccinated individuals who have had a known exposure to someone with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 must quarantine from the time of known exposure. The individual may return to work or in-person services as early as day 8 after exposure if they receive a negative COVID-19 test between day 5 and day 8 after exposure.
- If a non-vaccinated individual chooses NOT to be tested for COVID-19, that individual must quarantine at home for the full recommended quarantine period. Therefore, that individual would be able to return to work or in-person services on day 11 after exposure if he or she has remained symptom-free for the entire quarantine period.
- If a non-vaccinated individual’s test results come back positive for COVID-19, that individual must isolate at home immediately for the recommended isolation period. That individual may return to on work or in-person services on day 11 after the start of symptoms or after the positive test result if asymptomatic, fever-free without medication for at least 48 hours, and other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving.
