Intermediate School Teacher

Chelsea Cooper’s passion for special education began long before her formal teaching career started in 2008. With years of experience working with individuals with special needs, she has dedicated her life to equipping students with the skills they need to thrive. Now leading the Intermediate 3 classroom at ACCESS, Chelsea focuses on fostering independence, critical thinking, and social-emotional development in adolescent students. Throughout her career, Chelsea has worked in a myriad of environments with students of diverse ages and ability levels. Her experiences as a classroom teacher, academic therapist, and special education teacher in the public school system have strengthened her ability to create individualized learning opportunities that meet the unique needs of her students.

Chelsea loves being part of the ACCESS community and takes great pride in seeing her students grow in confidence and ability. She enjoys collaborating with families and team members to ensure every student receives the support they need to reach their full potential. When she’s not in the classroom, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family, playing games, soaking up warm sunny days, and seeking out new adventures.
