Le Ann Robertson, M.Ed., has been an integral part of the UAMS Project SEARCH ACCESS Initiative team for more than six years, serving as the UAMS Project SEARCH Coordinator/Instructor. Le Ann believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to live their best life. She is passionate about the value of all individuals and is committed to providing adults with disabilities the opportunity and support to engage meaningfully in the community—enriching all of our lives in the process.
Before joining ACCESS, Le Ann worked in education for over 15 years. She holds a Master of Education in Counselor Education from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Central Florida. Le Ann is also a Certified Secondary Education Counselor. Her career includes serving as a Career Counselor at the University of Arkansas, as well as being a key figure in establishing one of the first Supportive Employment Programs in the state of Arkansas while working with Lifestyles Inc. in Fayetteville.
Originally from Florida, Le Ann has lived in Arkansas for the past 25 years. After her family moved to Little Rock from Fayetteville, she stayed home to raise her daughter. Le Ann is thrilled to have returned to the workforce as part of Project SEARCH. Her favorite aspect of working for ACCESS is celebrating the personal growth of the interns in the program. It is incredibly rewarding to watch interns progress from their first internship to graduation and ultimately into successful careers. Le Ann takes great pride in seeing them become independent, contributing members of the community, proudly answering "I work" when asked about what they do, whether at UAMS or another local employer.
When she’s not working with Project SEARCH or volunteering in the community, Le Ann enjoys relaxing on her front porch with her cat, Angus, curled up in her lap while reading a good book. She also loves hiking with her dog, Margie, and traveling with family and friends.
