Madelyn Head has been a valued member of the ACCESS staff since August of 2023, but she has been part of the ACCESS family since 1997. Madelyn’s older sister graduated from ACCESS Academy, completed Project SEARCH, and now attends ACCESS Life, making Madelyn deeply familiar with the organization's impact. She currently works as a Supervisor in the ACCESS Life Adult Program, where she is passionate about helping young adults live purpose-driven lives, integrate into their community, and discover and develop new skills.
Growing up with a sibling with special needs inspired Madelyn to advocate for these young adults, helping them discover paths to success, reach their full potential, and access meaningful opportunities. Some of Madelyn’s favorite activities with the ACCESS Life group include volunteering at the Arkansas Foodbank and the NLR Animal Shelter, staying active by taking exercise classes at the gym and walking in local parks, working on independent living skills, and helping the young adults explore and develop new hobbies. Her past experience as ACCESS Academy’s Recreational Coordinator enables her to plan a variety of fun adventures and activities for the group.
Outside of her work at ACCESS, Madelyn enjoys spending time with her husband Matthew, their dogs Crash and Gatling, their cat Baby Driver, and their chickens. She loves to read, drink coffee, crochet, hike, thrift shop, garden, and bake. Her favorite book is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
