Paying it Forward: Matching Gifts

The Annual Giving Campaign is underway!
There are so many ways individuals can help ACCESS “bridge the gap” created by operating expenses not covered by tuition and other fees. One of the ways supporters can assist ACCESS in its mission to provide children with a rich, well-rounded educational and therapeutic experience, is through matching gifts. Corporate matching gift programs help individuals maximize their philanthropic giving by asking employers to match the charitable contributions made by their employees.

So what are the benefits of corporate matching gift programs?

  • Companies match donations made by employees.
  • Free money! Often, businesses offer dollar-for-dollar matching, but some even double, triple or quadruple donations.
  • Donor contributions get maximum leverage to do the most good.
  • A company’s corporate giving and philanthropy culture remains vibrant and boosts employee morale.

Below is a list of some Arkansas companies that have matching gift programs.  Hundreds of companies have these programs; however, if individuals do not see their company on the list, they can ask their Human Resources department about gift matching. Employees with companies on the list can effectively double or even triple their gift to ACCESS. Those with an employer who does not yet have a matching gift program may want to consider asking them to make a gift to the ACCESS Annual Giving Campaign.
