Comprehensive Rule-Outs and Diagnoses
Comprehensive evaluations incorporate input from parents, teachers, evaluators and more to provide an in-depth, complete look at every individual. For children or adolescents with learning disabilities or developmental disabilities, it is often found that they also struggle with other diagnoses. By taking a look the whole individual, families discover valuable information about both their child's strengths and challenges.
Evaluations can include rule-outs and diagnoses for autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, a wide range of learning disabilities, intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), anxiety, depression, and a variety of other mental health issues with thorough testing highlighting learning styles, weaknesses, and/or disabilities.
Team Approach
To get a full picture of an individual, it is important that an evaluation encompasses observations from multiple aspects. Along with an ACCESS psychological examiner, speech, physical and occupational therapists can be part of the evaluation team, as needed. They administer comprehensive assessments that provide a complete picture of development.
