Mary Housewright is an experienced pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant with an impressive career spanning more than two decades, focused on enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. During her tenure as a PTA, Mary received multiple accolades, including the Arkansas State Outstanding Alumni Award and the “Wonder Woman” Award both for outstanding contribution and achievement in her field. Her journey has taken her from dedicated pediatric care to her current role as the instructor and coordinator for the St. Bernards Medical Center Site within Project SEARCH Arkansas: ACCESS Initiative. Under Mary's leadership, this initiative has achieved an outstanding 95% job placement rate for individuals with disabilities, a testament to her dedication and expertise in empowering her staff and interns for success.
Mary's impact extends beyond her professional sphere; she is also the visionary behind Project Care of Jonesboro, a non-profit organization she founded. This coalition, consisting of over thirty-five entities, is dedicated to serving the special needs population of Northeast Arkansas, reflecting Mary's profound commitment to making a lasting and positive difference within her community. Her tireless efforts in both her professional and community roles exemplify her as a compassionate advocate and leader in the field of disability support and pediatric care. When Mary is not leading her team at St. Bernards, she enjoys extreme sports with her family, such as skydiving and dirt bike riding and racing.
