Mary Housewright is an experienced pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant with more than two decades of dedication to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Over the course of her career, Mary has received numerous accolades, including the Arkansas State Outstanding Alumni Award and the “Wonder Woman” Award, both recognizing her exceptional contributions and achievements in her field.
Mary's career journey has evolved from her role in pediatric care to her current position as the instructor and coordinator for the St. Bernards Medical Center Site within Project SEARCH Arkansas: ACCESS Initiative. Under her leadership, this initiative has reached an impressive 98% job placement rate for individuals with disabilities, a testament to her expertise in empowering her staff and interns for success.
In addition to her work at St. Bernards, Mary is the founder of Project Care of Jonesboro, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the special needs population in Northeast Arkansas. This coalition of over thirty-five entities reflects her profound commitment to making a lasting, positive impact on her community.
Mary's passion for her work is matched by her personal life. She is married with two adult sons and three grandchildren. When she’s not leading her team or serving her community, Mary enjoys extreme sports with her family, including skydiving and dirt bike riding and racing.
