Richard Cooper, M.S., OTR/L

Occupational Therapy Team Leader

Ricky Cooper OTR/L has been with ACCESS since 1998 and has worked with children birth through 18 years during his time. He is currently the occupational therapist in the Lower 2 classroom at ACCESS Academy. Ricky believes that growing a child's confidence through functional tasks provides them with a solid foundation in which to build upon for the rest of their lives.

Ricky's favorite part about working at ACCESS is seeing the pride in a child's eyes when they achieve something that they have struggled with, watching their self-esteem grow and develop into an "I can" asset, and seeing/hearing the joy of a parent when they witness their child accomplishing something for the first time that they thought they may never accomplish.

Prior to working at ACCESS, Ricky worked in skilled nursing facilities, home health, and with Little Rock School District. When he is not serving ACCESS, Ricky enjoys practicing and teaching Krav Maga and spending time with his family.
