Sarah Jarvis, MOTR/L, joined the ACCESS team in 2023 after witnessing the positive impact the school had on her youngest daughter. With a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Sarah has spent her career helping people of all ages. She developed therapy protocols for the NICU at UAMS and ran her own private therapy practice for nearly 10 years. Her work has also led her to lead professional trainings in Rwanda.
As the occupational therapist in ACCESS Life, Sarah’s client-centered approach has contributed to creating a cooking class curriculum and a simulated grocery store to provide hands-on learning opportunities. She values the collaborative environment at ACCESS and enjoys working together to make a difference, helping young adults develop life skills, safely navigate the community, and build meaningful relationships. She’s also excited to be a part of the coaching teams for Special Olympics Top Golf and swimming - Go, Gators!
Outside of work, you’ll find Sarah cheering on her family in their activities, traveling and going to concerts, or volunteering at her church where she co-leads a Bible study for young moms. She’s always up for trying something new, has a serious love for a good pen, could happily live on cereal, and loves a little friendly competition. Sarah truly believes in having fun while making an impact, both in and out of the therapy room.
