Mental Health Professional

Tynesha, MA, LPC, CRC has been a part of the ACCESS Academy AERC team since January 2023, serving as a mental health professional. She enjoys teaching kids and adolescents emotional regulation tools and strategies to help them navigate the stressors they face in their everyday lives. Before joining ACCESS, Tynesha worked as a pre-employment transition counselor with Arkansas Rehabilitation Services for 7 years. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in rehabilitation and mental health from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.

Tynesha’s favorite part of working at ACCESS is seeing students achieve their therapy milestones and celebrating their progress with others around campus, especially since she also volunteers with the track team. When she’s not serving the ACCESS mission, Tynesha enjoys traveling to tropical beaches, visiting indigenous villages to learn about their native food and culture, working with her church youth group, and educating others about maternal health disparities.
